? ? Covington Catholic won the team title convincingly at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

After multiple switches between 3A and 2A, it's the first title for the Park Hills school since 1994 during the Jack Kaelin era.

RIku Sugi, a junior at Thomas Nelson, won his second straight 2A title.

Congratulations Champions! ?

A lot to look forward to next season as six of the top ten runners return next season; among them:

Two time champion Riku Sugi.

Third place finisher Will Sheets a Cov Cath junior - last year's 3A champ, coming back today from an injury that's sidelined him since August.

Region 3 champ, junior Casey DeSilvey of Spencer County came in fifth.

Soph Joe Mayer, Region 4 champ of Cov Cath in fourth.

Keep an eye out for 8th grader Daniel Filiatreau of Thomas Nelson who finished tenth today.

Cov Cath has some excellent underclassmen in the pipeline too - Luke McLane, Jackson Germann, Luke O'Hara, and Joel Barczak.

Congratulations Colonels!

???? This may be the calendar year in history for Cov Cath in the "minor" sports, lol. The Colonels won their first ever Tennis championship last spring.

Mason County’s highest finish - boys or girls - in school history.  Not far removed from not even fielding a full squad of five.   Great turnaround for the Royals.
