Florida State clearly showed that they are the team to beat in the ACC tonight. Didn’t feel like it was as close as the final score was as the game went on later. It’s probably fair to say they are solidly in control of their destiny with exception to a meltdown against anyone else on their schedule for the rest of the regular season.

FSU has at varying points in games been their own worst enemy. I don’t know how this game would have gone with a fully healthy Riley Leonard. The diminished version they had didn’t have much for FSU. They leaned on their running game to solid success, but the majority of their points were almost gifts from FSU. Two failed fourth down conversions leading to points - the second one being inside FSU territory to set up a FG. A pick six by the Duke defense on a bad decision by Jordan Travis deep in his own end. I thought FSU was doing a fine job of bending not breaking, and once Riley’s ankle injury got aggravated, there was no prayer for Duke to move the ball. FSU drove 97 yards after the drive Leonard left, a harbinger of their offense taking over the remainder of the game.

Next two are on the road, so always have to be on your toes, but the two big ones left are Miami (at home) and at Florida. I don’t really fear either, but not sure which one poses the bigger threat. I think Miami is a better team, but you just can’t overlook playing in the Swamp. Still, I’m very much enjoying this year. Even got to watch Clemson lose their third game tonight, a joy that has been a long time coming.

I think Miami is more dangerous than Florida. I know what you mean about having to go to the Swamp, but I don’t see them having too much trouble there. Anything is possible though.

The Seminoles are back... Mike Norvell is the Real Deal... The Noles will be a part of the Playoffs this year..
