Low Key Game Of The Week Material On Deck In Campbellsville

Records: NL (4-3) | TC (5-2)

BGP Rankings: TC (#8 in 4A)

Week 8 Results: NL beat Pulaski County | TC had a bye week

Series History: First ever meeting

Teaser Preview: Both teams have a similar offensive philosophy: pound the rock and throw just enough to keep a defense honest. The Cards and Jags each put the ball in the air about ten times per game.

Peyton Smith, running behind UK commit Hayes Johnson, is knocking on the door of a thousand yard season for Taylor County and NL's Ethan Gregory is poised to join him.

Taylor County has faced the best opponent (Boyle County) between the two, but North Laurel's schedule strength runs a little deeper with Bell County, Franklin County, and Southwestern.

The Jags have the edge defensively, but the Cardinals have been the more consistent team, offensively.

North Laurel ditched the Pulaski County monkey from its back last week, but must refocus for this road trip to meet a top ten opponent with an SEC recruit and one of the best running backs around.

This is an interesting game. Taylor should come away with the win due to the amount of talent they have on the team but the North Laurel win over Pulaski was very impressive. This is a hard one to tell and should be a good game.

Taylor 21-10
