Sound The Bell, The School Of Hard Knox Is In Session

Records: Knox Central (4-2) | Bell County (6-1)

BGP Rankings: Bell County (#10 in 3A)

Week 7 Results: Knox Central beat McCreary Central | Bell County lost to Rockcastle County

Series History: Bell County leads 58-17-1 all-time

Preview: At any given time, there will be twenty-two players on the field this week for the Bobcats and Panthers.

Two stand alone.

Daniel Thomas and Steve Partin are used to standing out. They're priority #1 for opposing defensive coordinators. Maybe priorities #2 and #3, as well.

Thomas leads the state in net rushing yards, while Partin leads in yards per game since returning from injury a month ago.

Partin led Knox Central to victory last year in Barbourville, but winning on Log Mountain is another story. The Panthers haven't gotten it done there since 1997.

Last year notwithstanding, wins in general have been hard to come by for Knox Central in this rivalry. Bell County had won twenty in a row before last season and 34 of 36 dating back to the early 80s.

Bell's foundation was rocked last week, despite a career night from Thomas. The Panthers will look to bring down the house, with Partin swinging the wrecking ball.
