He's so close to being 7th man on varsity. This is a year where, at his grade level, he should see a lot of improvement. Does he run year round (track, etc.) or play other sports in winter and spring?

Good luck to him this year, and I'll keep an eye out.

Yes he made huge leaps this year in track. Shaved almost 2 minutes off of his mile time. Hoping that translates into XC success this year. He has a mental block he started to get rid of this past year. Was shaving 15-30 seconds  off his mile every meet. 

He’s growing, finally, and I had him on a weight program all summer. 
 

Now he has to believe he can be so much better!
