Mercer County 63 Danville 59 (12th Region Championship)

Featured Replies

Mercer beat Danville out in the semifinals of region last year and ends their season this year in the region championship.  Mercer will play GRC Wednesday at 6:00 in Rupp.

Really sad that the Lady Ads couldn't pull this one out.  Love Mays hit a three pointer to send it to OT but the Ads couldn't triumph there.  Mercer also made a great dash at the end of regulation to get the game in their favor.  I knew it'd be a close one as they'd beaten Mercer by only 1 point in the regular season.

Great game and both teams left it all out there.  I think Yeast and Mays are related and Tandy and Drakeford played on the same AAU team.  Obviously you have Mays that played at Mercer her whole life and leaves in high school to go to Danville only to get beat out by Mercer the last two years.  Lots of story lines within this matchup.
