Todd County Central led 5-2 early and that was basically as good as it got for the Rebels.  Bowling Green was dominant defensively, and Todd County clearly could not handle their athleticism, or Mason Ritter underneath.  Ritter had several blocks, cleaned the glass, and erased Glass, the talented post player for the Rebels.  Bowling Green held Todd Central to two field goals in the first quarter, using a 12-0 run to seize control, and led 16-7 after one.  It just got more out of hand from there despite Ritter and Deuce Bailey having two fouls and sitting out huge portions of the half.  The only thing Bowling Green didn't do in this game was gain a running clock.  There was no doubt about the result after about the 4 minute mark.

Bowling Green has now won 16 consecutive region tournament openers.  That matches the 16 consecutive region semifinals they've won - we'll find out if they can extend that streak against Barren County, who they are a perfect 9-0 against in region tournament games.  The inevitable is drawing closer....
