This week gets a little tougher though as the Bulldogs will head to Richmond to participate in the All "A" State Tournament. Hazard will open up with 10th Region's Bishop Brossart.

Bobcats would cruise in they're next two games, both district games at that, defeating Jackson City 81-49 and Wolfe County 70-44. Breathitt County secured the #1 seed in the 55th district and due to it being a 3-team district, the Bobcats automatically advance to the 14th region tournament.

7) Lee County (8-11): The Bobcats had a good 3 game win streak going but have now turned the wrong way and have lost 4 straight. Hazard 80-41, Model 68-57, Morgan County 100-68 all defeated Lee County this past week.

Senior guard, Zach Watterson became Lee County's all-time leading scorer (both boys and girls) in the loss to Morgan County and is 100 points shy of 3,000.

8 ) Powell County (7-12): Pirates dropped two out of three last week, falling to both Wolfe County 76-68, and Williamstown 67-61 but picking up a win over Prestsonsburg 75-67. Pirates have now dropped three of they're last four.

9) Knott County Central (7-12): Patriots have dropped two in a row, falling to both Hazard 61-42 and Floyd Central 65-40 but picked up a win over Owsley County 64-41.

13) Jackson City (3-15)

14) Cordia (0-19)

Notable Games:

Monday: Lee County at Powell County

Tuesday: Breathitt County at Harlan County

Thursday: Hazard vs. Bishop Brossart

Friday: Owsley County at Lee County, Estill County at Powell County, Perry County Central at Wolfe County

Saturday: Floyd Central at Estill County, Perry County Central at Rockcastle County, Knott County Central at Powell County.

Lee County has had a couple of starters out of the lineup with injuries the past two weeks which is probably a reason for their struggles of late.
