?? King of the Bluegrass Tournament. Game 4 - 9:00 tonight at Fairdale. Please post predictions and updates here.

? This game is, in fact, scheduled for tonight (Saturday), and not Friday as stated in the OP. My apologies for the error.

The BGP #15 Lyons (Reg 2) are 7-1. The Black Bears (R13) made a somewhat surprising debut at #10 in this week's first AP poll, enter the game at 5-1.

Two of this season's top scorers will be showcased, both Junior guards:

• LC's Travis Perry (30.5 p/5.5 r) is on track to overtake Kelly Coleman as Kentucky's all time leading HS scorer. The Lyons appear to be leading the state with a 85.8 ppg avg.

• HC counters Perry with Trent Noah's 29.0 p/12.4 r. Black Bears are netting 73.2 ppg.

Fairdale may need to hang new nets in the West Gym for tomorrow's winners bracket quarterfinals. ?

Lyon County wins it 76-73.

Travis Perry had 29 points for the winners, and Brady Shoulders had 20 points.

Trent Noah had 22 points for the losers, and Daniel Carmical had 21 points.

Per Chris Jung, that brings Travis Perry's total thus far this season to 273 points (34 ppg), and his career total to 3,462 points.

He's currently at #6 among the KHSAA's all-time points leaders. Perry is 80 points behind #5 Chris Harrison 3,542 (Tollesboro), 105 points behind #4 Harry Todd 3,567 (Earlington), 125 points behind #3 Cameron Justice 3,587 (Knott County Central), 185 points behind #2 Charlie Osborne 3,647 (Flat Gap) and 875 points behind #1 King Kelly Coleman 4,337 (Wayland).

If he keeps up his scoring average, the Lyons' current schedule of 18 remaining games will earn him 612 more points, putting him 263 points behind King Kelly Coleman. With his average 34 points per game, Travis Perry will need 26 more games this season to surpass Coleman.
