Pegasus Sports Announces its 2022-3 Basketball Broadcast Schedule

For Oldham County, South Oldham, and North Oldham High Schools

The Pegasus Sports Network (“PSN”) is pleased to announce the 2022-3 basketball broadcast schedule, as PSN begins its 44th year serving as the official broadcast voice for the high school boys and girls basketball teams in Oldham County.

PSN will provide free, live hi-definition internet video coverage of the boys’ and girls’ teams from Oldham County, North Oldham, and South Oldham throughout the basketball season, including a minimum of 34 regular season games, plus all District and Region tournament games.

All broadcasts will begin with a pregame show starting thirty minutes prior to the opening tip.

Mike Montgomery, a former full-time professional broadcaster, returns as the PSN Chief Play-by-Play Announcer.   A 1980 graduate of Oldham County HS, Montgomery broadcast his first game involving a county basketball team in 1979; he’s broadcast nearly 2,000 football and basketball games involving the Colonels, Dragons, and Mustangs since.

Among the familiar voices that will join Montgomery are former Oldham County girls basketball coach Todd Gilley, former South Oldham girls basketball coach Frank Wright, EOMS basketball coach Stephen Hall, and former 8th region referee Tom Hawkins.

Pegasus Sports is a grass-roots organization of volunteers that exists to promote the schools.   As part of this mission, students from the three high schools work as interns with Pegasus, learning basic production and announcing skills.

“We’re really looking forward to this broadcast season,” said Montgomery.   “We have increased our capabilities and expect to deliver an enhanced production we hope everyone will enjoy.”

All Pegasus broadcasts are broadcast live in high-definition video, and are available free of charge.   In addition, all broadcasts may be viewed at a later time on the website as free-of-charge archives.

To watch, go to www.pegasussportsky.com and click on any of three school logos.
