Very nice win for the Birds vs a very strong medium-sized program in Cincinnati.   Exactly the kind of win that should give Highlands some confidence and momentum as they'll now face off with NewCath in the 36th District Championship next week.

Highlands doesn't have a win against the other big 4 (Ryle, Cooper, Dixie, and CovCath) this year, but with that said, I still think they are capable of out-scoring those teams 2 or 3 times in two weeks in the 9th Region Tourney.

The Birds are 11-4-3 on the season.

Highlands seems to be molding at the right time. Having seen all the teams in the 9th play, they will be my favorite heading into postseason play.

Wow!!  I love it, that is out on the limb a little and I love seeing it.  I would have them 4th heading into the 9th, but that is why they play the games.

The Birds do seem to be coming on at the right time after a slower start under the new coach.  Hard to put them above Dixie for me, but it's closer than the records indicate.  Also Birds had a couple of players injured in the game last night, hopefully nothing serious.
