Table Setter: The Aces flew as high as anyone two weeks ago, shocking Owensboro, before crashing hard against CAL in Week 5. Which version of Owensboro Catholic shows up this week could mean the difference between a blowout win or a four quarter war against Hancock County. The Hornets come in unbeaten and had been untested before surviving a three point win over Tell City (IN) last week. They had averaged 50+ points per game through the first four weeks, but defense has been their true calling card so far this year. That side of the ball is allowing just six points per game, good for 5th in the state. You have to give credit where it's due, but we can't ignore the level of competition. There's no comparison between strength of schedule here. Catholic holds a decided advantage in that category. Hancock's opponents so far are a combined 3-21.

O-Cath dominated this series for years before the two schools split a pair of memorable games in 2020, both decided by a point. Last year saw the Aces regain control, winning both meetings by a combined score of 83-0.
