Marshall University just took the lead back from the Irish at 19-15 with just over 5 minutes left to play.

Unbelievable!! Marshall just gets a pick-6 to now go up 26-15 with 4:35 to play.

Another Marshall interception that will do it! A big win for the Herd and probably the end of the season for the Irish only two weeks into the season they are now 0-2.

A lot of people over the last five years kept saying that Notre Dame needed to move on from Brian Kelly for some reason. I think many people seemed to forget though how down Notre Dame was for years before BK took over. Those people got their wish and he left on his own, and so for at least on the field it hasn’t been good for Freeman. Including the bowl game, he is now 0 and 3 as the Notre Dame coach.

He is doing a great job recruiting, and obviously deserves a few years to get his guys in. Definitely not a good result in regards to how games have gone under him though.

Interesting fact no coach in Notre Dame's history has lost their first 3 games in school history and that is what Marcus Freeman is heading for with a loss today.

The Irish with the help of a blocked punt get a late touchdown by Mayer. The two point attempt fails and Marshall leads 26-21 with just :14 seconds to go.
