The Double Deuce
Highlands has still yet to play a game that has been even remotely close, with two 6-1 wins (Brossart and SHDHS), and then a 1-5 result to Ballard. We talked about pre-season they would lead the 9th in goals scored, and they've buried 13 in the back of the net through only 3 games. After Conner on Thursday the Birds get defending state champion Dunbar, followed by CovCath, Ryle (when did they last play in the regular season?), and Cooper, the 3 other best teams in the 9th (behind Highlands), plus the defending state champions. Heckuva run. From the Cru's standpoint, I'd have expected this to be a little more competitive, but the Birds can certainly exploit your back-line and keeper if you aren't careful.
FrankNicodemus
This was an interesting game. Highlands was just so fast. St. Henry unfortunately wanted to make this more like a football game instead of a soccer game trying to be super physical. St. Henry had some nice players they just couldn't focus to maintain composure and Highlands capitalized. O my goodness is Highlands FAST!!!!!!
