"Obi-Wan Kenobi" (2022 Disney+ Limited Series)

The 6-episode limited series is set to premier on Disney+ on May 25th.

The series is set ten years after Chancellor Palpatine enacted Order 66, ordering the commanders from the Grand Army of the Republic to remove the Jedi officers by lethal force (which took place in Episode III), while Anakin Skywalker, who has newly pledged himself to Palpatine/Darth Sidious and been dubbed Darth Vader, destroyed Jedi Temple of Coruscant and murdered all of the Jedi younglings inside.

The Jedi and Jedi padawan who survived Order 66, including Obi Wan and Yoda, scattered in order to escape the Empire, while Darth Vader continued the Great Jedi Purge, hunting down the remaining Jedi one by one. The Jedi, in addition to trying to hide from the Empire and evade Vader, had made it their job to seek out and protect and Force-sensitive children in the galaxy in hopes of eventually rebuilding the Jedi order.

The character in the trailers with the white face is "The Grand Inquisitor," who is the leader of a squad of Jedi-hunters under Darth Vader's command. The Order Of Inquisitors is comprised of former Jedi trainees (padawan) who had been dismissed from their Jedi training prior to Order 66. Palpatine/Darth Sidious would turn around and groom them to turn to the dark side and join the Inquisitors, and he utilized their Force-sensitive nature (which got them into padawan training) to help make them into strong warriors for The Empire.

Looking forward to this for a while, already kinda sad that it is only 6 episodes.

Just finished it, I think they did a really good job with it and I hope there is another season of it.

I liked the first 3 episodes, but the last 3 felt like they dragged a good bit.
