A bit of useless trivia for bar nights; His songwriting partner in the early days was Chip Davis, who would later go on to head Mannheim Steamroller.

Actually Mannheim Steamroller's Fresh Aire premiered (January 1, 1975) before Convoy (November 15, 1975). Fresh Aire was the first of a series of 7 albums named Fresh Aire. I bought Fresh Aire IV in 1981 and have all of them, now, in digital form.

I was big into CB radio, at the time, and later was a HAM radio operator. "Keep the sunny side up and greasy side down. This is the Swamprat in the Idiot Junction Control Rocket Car. I'm 10-10 and on the side."
