I personally have witnessed Breathitt practice.....As of right now, they r thin in numbers. Breathitt may be fielding alot of boys that will play both sides of the ball this year. I will say this...The lose of Ben Alex, will hurt the defense and the overall team alot. I have had the pleasure to play with Ben. I was a senior last year and I can't tell you how motivating this kid is on and off the field. He is the type of kid that you want representing a high profiled team like Breathitt. If he decides that football isn't in him anymore, then i see Scott Bailey returning to linebacker, and one of the offensive linemen will have to play both ways.... The biggest problem i see Breathitt having is most def. the offensive line play. I have seen some of the skilled players working extremely hard throughout the summer, but when I have asked about the line, I have been told that some haven't showed up to put the work in....With that being said, I do expect Hunter Morgan to have an outstanding year on the O-Line. I would also like to draw attention to Jade Haddix...He has been working very hard and I honestly could not tell if that was him or not throwing the ball...For the next 3 years Breathitt will be just fine at the QB position. As far as replacing the oline is concerned it may be the biggest problem for the offense.....but the biggest problem over all is replacing Beckham Herald. It may have been the smallest senior class to ever step foot on Breathitt's Field.....But I do believe it was one of the hardest working group of boys to ever put the pads on.....Best of Luck 07' Bobcats.....

Does anyone know who and when Breathitt Co. is scrimmaging this year? When is the Grid-A-Rama and what teams will be there?

Do you know who we will be scrimmaging in the next couple of weeks and also what are the dates and times. Any information would greatly be appreciated.

They have meet "The Bobcats" this Friday August 3rd at around 5 pm everyone is welcome and a dinner(Fish,and Blooming Onions) will be served at $5.00 each,then they scrimage at LCC August 10th the next week and play Grid next week against Sommerset August 17th then the following week seaon stars on friday the 24th Mike Holcomb Stadium will be rockin and Breathitt will get to see the 2007 Bobcats in action against Madison Southern at 7:30 for real.......Go Bobcats.....

Yes ,Bobcats will play the yellerjeckets,I say around 5-6 pm should be some good football action,with Cougars and Bobcats and Yellerjackets be sure and be there to cheer on these mountian teams............Go Bobcats...

I will have ta say the 2002 play-off game was a game too remember for sure,and will be played at my house on dvd a few times ,two good football programs and good mountian traditions so yes make for Great Game. hope P'burg has good season.

Personally, I preferred the 2003 and 2004 games myself. I'm sure you understand. That '03 game was pretty dang wild.

 

 

Haddix was given so many do-overs (until he tossed a TD pass) to end the 1st half in that 2002 game, it reminded me of U.S. vs. U.S.S.R. in the '72 Olympics. :sssh: :lol:
