Oldham County is the defending 8th Region champions.....   The Colonels put more players on the all-region team than anyone else (3 - Hayden Burgess, Sam Powell, and Max Green).    The Colonels won the 29th district and advanced to the semi-final round with a 79-49 win over Gallatin County in round 1, outrebounding the Wildcats, 39-17, and shooting 57%.

Woodford County is in just its third year in the region; the Yellowjackets got their first-ever 8th Region tournament win last week in a 58-53 victory over Grant County behind a monster game by Jasper Johnson.    Woodford County won the 30th district.

Woodford beat the Colonels early in December by 12 in Versailles.
