Should be a very interesting game....Oldham County is solid enough to contend to repeat as the 8th Region champs.    6'10" senior center Hayden Burgess and 6'6" senior forward Sam Powell create an imposing front line for Oldham, and Powell is as prolific from the perimeter as he is from the inside.   Sophomore Max Green is maturing at PG and is the second-leading scorer and a superb 3-point shooter.    OC's depth may not be quite what it has been in the past, but junior Luke Amburgey is averaging 5.2 ppg / 5.2 rebounds off the bench, and is a blue-collar hustler underneath.

Gallatin has a senior-dominated starting unit that has played together for a long time.   First year head coach Vance Sullivan isn't new to the program, having spent the last 6 years coaching first the Gallatin freshmen, and - for the last 3 years - the JVs.   He knows the kids and the system.    This is a blue-collar, hard-working group of kids who finished as runner-ups to Walton-Verona in the 8th Region All-A and figure to be in New Castle in a couple of weeks.    Drake Skidmore is a superb outside shooter, Ashton Gullion is a veteran at point and his experience will come in handy against Oldham's press.   Logan Riddle and Mason Arnold are two rugged rebounders who combine for 15-16 rebounds a game.
