What could have been!!  We were set up for a huge week of Top 5 NKY girls match-ups, but unfortunately, ice and snow prevented nearly all of them from coming to fruition.  The good news is we have a ton of games jammed into this week, so we should see some great action and a little bit of movement next week in our final regular season Top 10 Ranking.  I will put in bold the Top 10 match-ups this week as well as the huge games vs down-state top-tier teams.  We have a lot of them this week, so get out, support these hard working young ladies, and enjoy some great games.

2.  Conner (18-3):  vs #4 Dixie, at #6 Holy Cross, and vs Highlands

3.  Ryle (15-6):  at Boone County, at #7 NewCath, and vs P.L. Dunbar

4.  Dixie (19-5):  at #2 Conner, at Walton Verona, and vs Oldham County

5.  Cooper (13-9):  vs #8 Simon Kenton, at Anderson County (!!!), and vs #9 Brossart

7.  NewCath (16-7):  at Holmes, vs Newport, vs #3 Ryle, and vs North Laurel (at Franklin County)

9.  Bishop Brossart (15-8):  at Highlands, vs #6 Holy Cross, and at #5 Cooper

10. Ludlow (19-7):  at St. Pat's, at Grant County, and at Scott

Others to watch:

*  Walton Verona (11-11)

*  Pendleton County (12-10)

*  Scott (11-13)

*  Campbell County (8-14)

Have a great week, enjoy all of this great girls' basketball action around the area, and watch these great teams round into shape for the post-season.  It is going to be fun.

With the Brossart loss to Highlands, the Mustangs will need a big bounce to avoid an 0-3 week.

3 good games to prepare them for Scott on the 15th.  That's their season defining game.  A win will put them in the regional tournament.

For sure, great perspective.  They absolutely should beat Scott....but that is why they play the games.
