Per the KHSAA scoreboard

Top 20 ranked CAL improves to 7-2.    No stats yet available for the Centurions.

South Oldham falls to 1-4, but I think we have yet to see how good Steve Simpson's squad may be.    Consider:  South's four losses have been to four teams (Great Crossing, Boyle County, Simon Kenton, and CAL) who are a combined 22-7 and all of whom are expected to be contenders in their respective regions.    CAL is ranked.    And South has lost to those four teams by 11, 8, 7, and 8, respectively.   The Dragons have been in each and every game....

South led by senior wing Ben Michel with 25 points.   Cole Davis and Alex King each had 15  - King was 5 of 11 beyond the arc - and sophomore Christian Veirs had 11.   South shot 49.2% from the field and hit 15 of 34 threes (44.1%).   South hit all of their free throws, but only shot four, possibly in part since 44 of their 61 total shots came from beyond the arc.

South plays Frankfort on the 20th in the Famous Recipe Classic at Madison Southern at 5 pm.

CAL next plays at home on the 21st against another 8th Region opponent as the Centurions face Shelby County.
