Lexington Sayre 51 Campbell Co 41

Final

Sounds like CC played well. Sayre has some strong talent.

Did not make any games this week. Still waiting for the home opener. What does that make our record? 7-4

Sayre has a little point guard named Hoyt or something like that... he is lightning quick...

Don't know much about Sayre, but it seems Campbell is having problems putting up points with only 48 against Dayton and 41 tonight? This surprises me as they've got some offensive talent; is this just a slump or what?? Ballerm, Camel , Soda??

7-4 is right.

The Camels are playing some good defense holding their opponents to an average of under 50 points but is struggling on offense. They need to develop an inside game which is lacking at this time. This team will improve. At this time I feel that they are thinking too much and need to just go out and play aggressive basketball. Last night's game was closer than the score indicates, the Camels were down by 3 at half and were within 2 with around 4 min left in the game. They needed to put Sayre at the line at the end of the game and they hit all free throws. Sayre was 12-16 from the line while the Camels were only at the line 3 times. Difference in the game.

For all of you Camel fans out there....we have not had a home game yet but they will be back in the Hump soon. Come out and support this team and lets show them that we "still believe".

Are they using Kenny Walker enough? He looked good against Brossart, and should be able to give them some inside game, along with Dischar, against most of their opponents??

They are averaging 54 points scored and holding opponents to 48 points earned. They have offensive talent so I would believe that this scoring average will go up. They have not had a home game yet so I would expect that shooting on your home court would be an advantage. Will have to wait and see how the inside game develops.

Enough? Well that is a coaching decision. He is coming in off the bench and getting alot of playing time. It has been a struggle over the past years to get these guys to play with their backs to the basket. Kenny has a sweet 10 ft jumper and Noah can make some great moves to the hoop but needs to do that more. Not sure the offense is geared to the inside play. Kenny knows he would get more playing time if he played better defense, he will improve on this I am sure.

I watched the Camels a couple times this week and can tell you what I saw from their inside game... Dischar and Walker both need to be inside more. The like to shoot from outside the paint, which is ok because they can shoot it, but they also need to get inside and bang around a little bit and use those tall frames... Dischar makes at least makes more driving moves to the basket but Walker is pretty content shooting the J.... for this reason I think their most effective inside player is #14(Eten maybe???)... he isn't as tall as Dischar and Walker but is big, strong and quick on his feet and makes good strong post moves...

:thumb: Good observations. Eten has shown improvement over the last few games and I look for him to continue. He is very competitive and aggressive, now just needs to play his game. Great kid!

Haven't seen them yet, but I am sure Reitz will make adjustments if needed.

Ballerm, is correct the coach has got to make those calls. I would agree that they need to get down low and play in the paint more as well. It looks like we could meet up again next week, and if we are going to be there, we have to get the ball inside.
