Final from Bracken First National Bank tourny

Didnt make it to the game.. info ???

Only saw some 2nd half action and it was a close game. Travis Massey fouled

out late for Deming. With the score 60-59 Deming and about 30+ seconds to go, an intentional foul was called on Betsy Layne (Bad call IMO), a technical followed and after the free throws and an additional basket the game was out of reach for the Bobcats.

Here's my opinion, this was one of the few good calls during the game!! Betsy's point guard (#3) walked and carried the ball all over the court and it went unnoticed and uncalled by the officials. This was a gritty performance by Caleb Curtis, Billy Graves (at times) and the eighth grade twins, Kyle and Luke King, who carried the team in the last two minutes of the game.

I didn't see too many calls since I didn't see the whole game but at that point just about every foul is intentional but I don't think you punish a kid for going after the ball which he did.

Got there late but here's what I saw: The Devils were 12-9 in the first period then Betsy Lane was leading in the second half 32-31 with 1:36 remaining, Kyle King scored 16pts. hit a basket a buzzer in the 3rd being down by 1 at 37-36, the Devils then went on a 14-3 spurt, that gave them a 56-49 lead with less then 2 minutes left to play. the questionable calls I really disagree with, bad calls and no calls plaque every game. Especially on a ballgame such as this cause maybe the officals were getting into the game like the crowd was and sometimes bad calls or no calls are common.

Kyle king led Deming with 19pts.

Travis Massey and Billy Graves had 14 apiece.

Luke King had 10pts.

Garth Grause had 6pts.

Hendrix and Curtis each had 2pts.

Deming improves to 2-6.

Next game is against Nicholas County today.
