Sounds like an exciting game down at MoCo last night.  CovCath got one in the 1st half, heading in a corner, and entered halftime with the 1-0 lead.  The Indians got the equalizer, and then went ahead with 8 minutes remaining when their attacker got one on one with the keeper and beat him to go ahead.  CovCath got their own equalizer with 2 minutes to play to send the game to OT, and ultimately, to PK's.

Sounds like MoCo skied their first one over the crossbar, and their 3rd was saved by the Colonel keeper, so when CovCath converted their 4th (straight) PK, that ended the game.  By all accounts from Twitter, was a big and enthusiastic crowd for both teams down in Mt. Sterling last night, and they certainly got their money's worth.

CovCath will travel to Somerset (based on RPI, I believe) at some point later this week (to be determined).

The Indians, coached by Kevin Miles, ends their terrific season at 15-8-2.

Twenty years ago, Somerset beat Covington Catholic in the second round, 2-1 in overtime. 2001 was the last year Somerset won a soccer region title.

Sounds like a great omen for the Briar Jumpers.
