The Double Deuce Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 Mild upset in the brutal 7th region as the Crimsons, coached by Taylor Wood, end the season of Top 3 ranked KCD 1-0. The Bearcats suffer their first defeat of the season and end their magical 2021 campaign 20-1-1. Bitter ending, to be sure, but a season that everyone associated with the program can be very proud of. Manual moves on to face the Tigers of St. X in the 7th Region, the winner getting the unenviable task of traveling up 71 to face North Oldham. Manual and St. Xavier played way back on August 21st, with Manual winning 2-1. 1
Purple88 Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 @The Double Deuce GREAT Job of updating the Boys Soccer Playoffs!!! I think this is tick up for me and I'll call this a clear upset. 20-0-1 for KCD was the clear favorite. They had a great season. But Manual played inspired soccer and anything can happen in the playoffs. Should be a tight game vs St. X. But I'd say Manual is the underdog in that game too, even though they beat X earlier in the year. 1
