Gators and Scotties put their respective bites to the test

Records: Glasgow (4-1), Greenwood (5-0)

BGP Ranking: Glasgow (#6 in 3A), Greenwood (unranked in 5A)

Series History: Greenwood leads 2-0, dating back to 1998

Table Setter: Greenwood has been somewhat of a mystery team thus far. Prior to last week, the Gators were unbeaten, but had no wins you could point to as an indication they were someone to be reckoned with. A two score win over then 4A #8 Logan County is a good starting point for a team looking for respect. Defense was the name of the game, with Greenwood turning the Cougars over three times in the first half and shutting them out over the final three quarters. The Gators' defense, which has allowed just 8 ppg the last four weeks, will be tasked with muzzling a Scotties offense that is currently barking as loud as any dog in the neighborhood.

The Scotties have rebounded aggressively from a humbling, and frankly, shocking 56 point shutout loss in Week 1. The offense has averaged nearly 50 points a contest during the current four game win streak. Hunter Scott has been Glasgow's most versatile offensive weapon, leading the team in rushing, receiving, and scoring. Coach Jeff Garmon has been utilizing two quarterbacks this year, alternating between the experience and run/pass versatility of senior John Myers and the high potential of freshman Easton Jessie.

Good write up. I think this will be a competitive game this gives Glasgow another chance to knock off a Class 5A foe and get some points in the old RPI. I think Greenwood is really talented and might even knock off Bowling Green this year. For this game I think whoever has less turnovers and penalties probably wins the game.
