Powell County names Rob Merion head coach

Didn't know Ken Jones stepped down. Rob Merion has been tabbed as the new head coach of the Lady Pirates.

Ken Jones has been in coaching for a long time. I’m not sure of the number of years but I think he started coaching in the 1970s. He was at several schools before coming to Powell County. Also did some TV broadcasting in the 1980s for WYMT in Hazard, which had just started as a station a few years earlier.
