? Final from UK's John Cropp Stadium per Evan Dennison.

The No. 9 Lady Panthers advance to their first State semi-final in school history.

Pendleton Co. finishes a great season as Regional champions and a 25-12 record.

Daviess Co. (33-6) will meet first time semi-finalist Lewis Co. (23-8) in tomorrow morning's (11 am) semi-final.

The LadyCats Kayley Bruener was named to the All-Tournament Team. Congrats!

Daviess County put up 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st & 1 run in the bottom of the 2nd.

Pendleton County scored all 4 of their runs in the top of the 3rd, capitalizing on some Daviess County errors.

Score remained 4-3 until the bottom of the 5th when Daviess scored 2, retaking the lead at 5-4.  They closed the door in the bottom of the 6th with 3 more runs.

I thought Daviess was clearly the better team.  The game was a bit sloppy, but both schools had a really nice fan turnout on a hot Friday afternoon in Lexington.

Another great season for Pendleton County, who bids farewell to seniors Sydney Manor, Olivia Verst, & Karleigh Prater.  But they still return a ton of talent, including two of the 10th Region's best players in Kayley Bruener & Raegan Carlisle.
