Russell 7 Raceland 5 (63rd District Tournament)

Russell knocks off one of the region favorites if not the region favorite. Huge Upset win for the lady Devils. Also the 1st district win in  what has been a losing season to this point. Congratulations to Coach Beek  and the lady Devils.

Entering today, Russell was winless against the district this season with two blowout losses to Raceland by a combined score of 23-3. This is yet another reminder that anything can happen in a rivalry game, especially one in the postseason.

Lili Smith continued her stellar freshman campaign with a two run homer and a double that also plated a pair.

Russell is really young this year. Raceland has 7 seniors I think.

    Raceland seniors are

    Raegan West

    Shalyn West

    Hannah Wilson

    Chloe Collins

    Cameryn Davidson

    Kierston Smith

    Madison Stamper

    That's some big losses there.
