Raceland 7 Russell 6

Featured Replies

Russell blew a great chance to get a win leading 6-3 in the b7 and give up 4 runs.

Phone died at the worst possible time, just when things got tight. Bartrum looked good - especially his breaking ball - until he ran out of gas in the bottom of the seventh. The second baseman should have tucked that final ground ball away instead of trying to make the throw to 1st. It wasn't close, but it's hard to blame a kid for trying to make a play.

The 63rd district, as usual, should be a battle to the end.

The 63rd District Tournament looks to be fun this year in both the Girls and Boys. All four teams  are capable in softball and  I think Raceland,Russell,or Greenup Could win the Boys Tournament. Lewis County Baseball has struggled this year so I'd be surprised if they win the tournament.
