What do they lose after this year? Will they still be a top 10 team in the state again or not?

Les and some others can give more information than, I can but from what I know:they lose Profitt, Hammonds and Smith.

I do not think they have enough returning, that they will be a top 10 team in the state but they will be competitive for the 13th region title.

Correct. :thumb:

They have some talent in the 9-11 grades, but many of them haven't seen much varsity PT other than in mop-up mode. But they'll still win 18-23 games per year the next few seasons.

Wright has been smart in getting a couple of his freshmen some key varsity PT — Gilbert, the NL transfer, has been starting — and that will keep them in the 13th Region hunt for the next few years. You probably won't see them in the top 20 next year, and maybe the year after, but when this group of frosh are seniors, they'll be back in the rankings.

I agree with Schue....hit the nail on the head.

I'm guessing Rude is wondering how the Redskins compare next year.

Corbin, Jackson and Cumberland will probably be the favorites going into the 2007-08 season with Clay and South not far behind.

Another SL frosh, post man Matt St. John, drew the start tonight v. Whitefield Academy. He had 8 pts and 5 rebounds and 3 assists in the first half. I don't have his final stats, as I left at halftime with SL up 50-10.

The Cardinals ended up winning, 82-38.

St. John had 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting. He also had five boards and Proffitt ahd 19, Hammonds 6, Smith 14.
