I believe that the NDA, Simon Kenton, Rockcastle Co and Presentation games will be played at NDA on Wednesday and Thursday. The Boone Co, Holmes, Hart Co. and Shelby Co. games will be played at Boone Co. on Wednesday and Thursday. The Friday and Saturday games will be played at Boone Co.....

Should be some great baseketball games to see......

That's a pretty strong field. Notre Dame should pretty easily advance. I think that the Boone/Shelby game could be a toss-up to meet NDA in the finals. I'll give Boone the edge but it should be a really good game. Shelby is coming off a 20+ point win over Mercy and played Scott Co very tough.

There are more toss-up's than just the Shelby game for Boone, IMO. Based on the outcome, there are only a couple of match-ups that I personally would even consider upsets.

Boone will have to bring there "A" game each night. If the Panda's do not bring there "A" game they will have their hands full in a couple of games also. Their home floor and inside game might be too much for SK tonight, but I wouldn't be totally shocked if SK takes them down to the wire or even pulls off an upset. Simon Kenton is very good and a strong post player away from being an extremely tough team to beat.

Bottom line is come out to Boone County or NDA gym over the next four days for some great basketball action.

Thanks for the bottom line WLTG and well said....I'm sure NDA will probably advance through this tournament with little trouble based on the way they are playing against top caliber teams so far this season. Let's at least hope to see some decent games this week.

SK is good enough to take NDA down, as you said, if NDA doesn't bring their "A" game. If either NDA or Boone looks ahead to Saturday night when they just might play each other, neither will make it. One game at a time, one win at a time, and getting better, every time.

I hope everyone read the opening quote to this thread and not Boehmker's article which you have posted here. When speaking of the games at Boone they were played tonight not Sat. Been noticing a ton of mistakes in the Post Sports section lately. Sad they don't have anyone to proof read their articles because they aren't doing a very good doing it for themselves.

the way ND is playing , i don't see anyone beating them !! Good luck to all

Hopefully I have this right for the games Sat:

2pm Presentation vs Holmes

4pm Hart Co vs Rockcastle Co

6pm Simon Kenton vs Shelby Co

8pm Boone Co vs Notre Dame (Championship)

The championship game could be an early preview of the 9th region finals once again depending on the draw.

Good luck to all and Merry Christmas/Happy New Year around the entire state!!

Just a note to all the teams that played in our Exposure Tournament. My wife and I worked the hospitality room all 4 days and without exception every player coach and family member were as polite and congenial as I have met even after a loss. Parents you can be proud of your children they do listen to you and are fine young men and women even when you are not around. It was a pleasure to meet and talk to some of them.

Thanks for a fine tournament and look forward to seeing you all down the road.

I would like to take it upon myself to thank all the parents w/Boone that brought in all the good food, nothing but compliments from everyone who came in for a bite to eat, especially the NDA fans. Seems their hospitality room lacks some guidance.

A special shout out to Mrs Hicks for running the hospitality room and doing some fantastic cooking(homemade egg rolls and other delicious food). Also, Mrs Bivens and Mrs Bradley I saw doing quite a bit and any other parent I may have missed, THANK YOU, the hospitality room was a success once again. We will miss Mrs Hicks next yr so some of you parents of the younger athletes, please step up and help next yr. This tournament is a fundraisor for the entire girls bball program which benefits your daughter's.

Again, have a safe and happy holiday.
