Elizabethtown vs. Covington Catholic Predictions/Updates

Recommended Posts

A matchup of highly ranked teams as E-town makes the trip north to Park Hills.

Only loss a 1 point setback to John Hardin keeps the Panthers from entering this game undefeated.

Will the Colonels be able to slow Jaquais Franklin, who averages 20pts and nearly 5 points/game?

Tip off is 3pm.

Besides Franklin, E'town's other four starters also score in double figures and all of them rebound. Six of their top seven players are back from last year's team, and all are seniors. If one hasn't heard of Coach Haire, he's won over 400 games has the 2000 state title on his resume.

Cov Cath will have a huge size advantage, but so did Bowling Green, and they lost to the Panthers by 28.

Finishing shots close to the rim, (some with contact), has been a problem of late. 10 missed layups against Ashland is an example.

Some players seem to be passing up open shots. I'd like to see better passing decisions, and value protecting  the ball. We've played some excellent teams lately, but the Colonels seem out of synch.

Color me concerned.
