Augusta narrowed the margin to 25-18 by halftime, but the Mustangs held sway, outscoring he visitors 37-33 in the second half to notch our 11th win of the season against 9 losses. Augusta completes their regular season play at 10-10. In the game Brossart's Carson Schirmer led all scorers with 18, connecting on 8 of 8 from the FT line, giving him 28 of 31 in a twenty-four hour span. Robbie Verst nailed five 3-pointers along with a deuce for 17 points. David Govan recorded back-to-back double-doubles by scoring 14 and pulling down 11 rebounds. Augusta's Kason Kinson answered with 17, Riley Mastin 16 and Chase Archibald 10. Brossart won the JV game 42-37. The Mustangs host Henry County Saturday afternoon as we honor our five seniors. Not bad for a kid who did not play his freshman year due to injury, and missed the majority of this year with a broken foot.
