1) Hazard (16-4):   Previous Rank: 1

This Week: 3/1 vs. Perry County Central, 3/5 vs. Buckhorn, 3/6-7 vs. Owsley County 

Hazard went 2-1 last week, picking up wins over Harlan Independent 83-59 and Cordia 67-53. They would fall to South Laurel 53-47 in the Big Lou Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Buckhorn. Can the Bulldogs get back on track after the loss to South Laurel or was that first of many losses down the stretch?

2) Wolfe County (10-8):   Previous Rank: 2

This Week: 3/2 vs. Estill County, 3/5 at Martin County

Wolfe County picked up two big wins last week, one was a pretty, pretty big one as Wolfe County would defeat 11th region powerhouse George Rogers Clark 88-79. Wolfe County would pull double duty on Saturday as they would play Harlan County in the Big Lou Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Buckhorn, falling 67-58. Wolfe County would rush home to host Powell County on senior night, later Saturday evening. Wolfe County wouldn't have any trouble out of the Pirates as they would cruise to a 87-60 win. Wolfe County was up as much as 30 in the game. Leading 51-21 at halftime.

3) Knott County Central (12-6):   Previous Rank: 3

This Week: 3/2 vs. Pikeville, 3/6 vs. Betsy Layne (at Prestonsburg).

The Patriots split two games last week, falling to Pikeville 82-59 (same team they had just beaten just a few days prior and the same team they will meet on Tuesday). The Patriots bounced back and picked up a big win over Letcher County Central 72-52. With the win over Letcher County Central, the Patriots improved to 4-0 in district play.

4) Breathitt County (13-5):   Previous Rank: 4

This Week: 3/3 at Buckhorn, 3/5 vs. Lee County

Breathitt County hit a rough spot last week, dropping two out of three games. The Bobcats lone win came in double overtime against Perry County Central 56-54. The two losses would come to the hands of Harlan County 77-61 and Betsy Layne 67-51. Breathitt County has now dropped 3 of their last 4 games. Can they get back on track this week?

5) Estill County (10-4):   Previous Rank: 5

This Week: 3/1 vs. Buckhorn, 3/2 at Wolfe County, 3/3 vs. Owsley County (KHSAA Shows Owsley at Perry), 3/5-6 vs. Powell County

Engineers won both games they had last week, defeating  Berea 39-38 and going on the road and defeating Sayre (who has a big win over Wolfe County) 50-40 on Saturday. Sayre was a late pick up for Estill.

6) Letcher County Central (8-8):   Previous Rank: 6

This week: 3/2 at Leslie County, 3/5 at Owsley County

Letcher County Central dropped two out of three games last week, losing 70-52 to Belfry and 72-52 to Knott County Central. Letcher County Central would go to Stanton and crush the Pirates of Powell County 88-53.  They were suppose to play June Buchanan on Sunday but no score was reported.

7) Leslie County (7-9):   Previous Rank: 7

This Week: 3/2 vs. Letcher County Central, 3/4 at Cordia, 3/6 vs. Harlan

Leslie County picked up two wins last week, defeating Barbourville 80-55 and Cordia 82-76. They have now won 3 of their last 4 games.

8 ) Perry County Central (5-10):   Previous Rank: 8

This Week: 3/1 at Hazard, 3/3 vs. Owsley County (not sure if that's correct), 3/6 vs. Martin County (at Prestonsburg), 3/7 vs. Cordia

The Commodores went 2-1 last week, picking up wins over Magoffin County 60-49 and East Ridge 55-42 but falling to Breathitt County 56-54 in double overtime.

9) Buckhorn (8-11):   Previous Rank: 9

This Week: 3/1 at Estill County, 3/3 vs. Breathitt County, 3/5 at Hazard, 3/6 vs. East Ridge (at Prestonsburg)

Buckhorn won both games they had last week, defeating Jackson City 73-27 and Prestonsburg 69-54. Can they keep up the momentum or will they fall right back into the loss column?

10) Cordia (8-10):   Previous Rank: 10

This Week: 3/2 vs. Phelps, 3/4 vs. Leslie County, 3/6 vs. Shelby Valley (at Prestonsburg), 3/7 at Perry County Central

Lions dropped two of three games last week, falling 82-76 to Leslie County, 67-53 to Hazard but defeating Red Bird 76-34. The Lions have a big week ahead of them, can they keep it up?

11) Owsley County (7-4):   Previous Rank: 11

This Week: 3/2 at Powell County, 3/3 at Estill County or Perry County Central (Uncertain on this date), 3/5 vs. Letcher County Central, 3/6-7 at Hazard.

The Owls played Berea on Friday for the first time since February 3rd. Berea would defeat the Owls 48-43.

12) Lee County (8-11):   Previous Rank: 12

This Week: 3/2 at Morgan County, 3/4 at Powell County, 3/5 at Breathitt County.

Lee County defeated Menifee County 69-61 last week in their first game back since February 8th.

13) June Buchanan (8-9):   Previous Rank: 13

This Week: 3/2 at Jackson City, 3/5 vs. LIGON COGO Home School KY, 3/6 vs. Jenkins.

The Crusaders split their two games last week, falling 77-57 to Floyd Central but defeating LIGON COGO Home School KY 66-56.

14) Powell County (1-16):   Previous Rank: 14

This Week: 3/2 vs. Owsley County, 3/4 vs. Lee County, 3/5 at Estill County, 3/6 vs. Williamsburg.

The Pirates lost all four games last week, closest game they had they lost by 16. They may not win another game the rest of the year.

15) Jackson City (2-8):   Previous Rank: 15

This Week: 2/2 vs. June Buchanan, 2/6 vs. Raceland (Location TBA)

The Tigers fell to Buckhorn 73-27 but bounced back and defeated Jenkins 55-48.

16) Riverside Christian (0-11):   Previous Rank: 16

This Week: N/A

No games for the Rams last week. Their season is over unless they participate in the 55th district tournament.
