Scott the better team on this night in Alexandria.  Intense defense prevented the Mustangs to function offensively early on, trailing 33-19 at the half, after being outscored 23-12 in the second period.

The Mustangs fared better, mustering 32 points in the second half, four less than Scott put up.  As has been the trend, Scott knocked home eight three-pointers on the night.  The home team hit four.  The Eagles struggled from the free-throw line, converting merely 5 of 15, but the Mustangs were only able to gain a two point advantage at 7 for 10.

Scott only had five scorers but four of them produced double figures.   Grant Profitt 20, Riley Huff 16, Brayden Howell 14, and Cameron Patterson 10.  Brossart countered with Carson Schirmer scoring 16, Mason Sepate 15, and David Govan 12.

With the win Scott earns the 37th District top seed.  Brossart has yet to play Calvary Christian, which will determine if we play Campbell County with a win, or a re-match with Scott with a loss.   That game will be played on Monday, March 8th.

Brossart will host Holy Cross next Tuesday and Augusta on Wednesday.

The All-Sophomore (plus one freshman) JV team continued on its hot streak, winning our sixth game in seven outings, 39-30 over the Eagle JVs.
