Final.......

You have to pick your poison. Either play Ballinger straight up and let her dominate or sag in on her and take a chance on Carroll getting hot form the 3, which they were. There pressure is tough to play against.

Gallatin had no chance in this one, as it was over early. Carroll blistered the nets from three land. I look for Carroll to walk away with the 31st District and 8th Region All "A" crown . I also think they could make some noise in the All "A" state and the 8th Region Tournament in March. Ballinger has very good skills for her size , and Gurdy(spelling?) gives them ALOT on the defensive side of the ball. Add in their shooters and they will be very dangerous this year.

Gallatin has played fairly well so far this year, Carroll is just a better team.

Carroll is much better than I thought they would be this year. I attribute that to Girdy. I would say that Carroll has the best shot at the 31st District title and the 8th Region All "A" title. However, their lack of depth will hurt them in both the 8th Region Tourney and the All "A" State.

I should add that my heart still says "Trimble" for the All "A". However, they will have to start playing more consistently than they have started the year out as - and they will have to have an answer for Carroll. But, I remain "True Blue (and Gold)".
