Bowling Green 57 Warren Central 45

Featured Replies

Purples score 2 points in the first quarter!  WOW!

But lead 24-20 at the half.  Game was still tight through 3 and BG pulls away in the 4th Quarter.

Refs got a great workout for sure.

Warren Central ran a high guard weave and very physical defense to push BG more than any team has this year,

which is what you'd expect from a rival.

BG off until a trip next Tuesday to tough John Hardin.  Warren Central travels to Barren County for a big Region game tomorrow night.

For Warren Central: Farley 12 (Farley was outstanding tonight); 10 Walker

For BG - Buttry 14 points; Willie Wilson with 11 and Jaxon Banks with 10

I can’t recall ever seeing two double fouls in a single game. They had THREE called in the first half tonight.

There's a couple of ways to look at this game.  One is that if Central could have made some more free throws and knocked down some more of their open looks, they honestly could have won it. The other is that if Bowling Green had hit open looks the way they've been hitting, this could have easily been over 20 points.  Central made them work for it, and psychologically, I think they needed that to prove that they can at least compete.  It appears more and more like these teams might have their usual meeting at Diddle, and they need to know they can be in that game.

I think BG played pretty poorly and will play much better the next time these 2 meet.
