Final from the 8th Region All-A Classic in Carrollton last night.

New-look Wildcats put up 70 on opening night behind 19 points from Drake Skidmore, who hit all four of his two-pointers, 3 of 7 beyond the arc, and 2 of 3 at the line for a pretty good night.

Gallatin struggled at the line a bit - 13 of 23 - but shot pretty well from the field, especially for an opening night game (47.3% on 26 of 55 shooting).

Brayden Terrell was the only other Wildcat in double figures with 11, but Jon Jones had three players with 8 points - Ashton Gullion, Logan Riddle, and Noah Brinker (who was a perfect 4 for 4 from the field)

The Raiders converted a 3 point play to start the 4th quarter and take a 52-41. From that point fort the Wildcats finished the game on a 29-6 run, including the final 10 points. 
Gallatin faces Owen County on Thursday at 5:30 in the semifinals.

Mack, can you tell us more about Drake Skidmore?   He wasn't mentioned  by Coach Jones when I wrote the 8th region preview.

He played just 13 games last year as a sophomore...

Also....everything OK with Dickerson?   Surprised to see that he only took 3 shots for Gallatin.

What happened to the Raiders during that fourth quarter Wildcat run?

(questions, questions, questions....  I was hoping to see the Cats next Monday against Oldham, but that game has been postponed indefinitely....)

Skidmore is definitely the definition of a knockdown shooter. He was instrumental in the Wildcats late run at Grant County in the regional tournament last year.                      
Dickerson may have had some jitters. First game running the offense without a lot of practice. He will be fine.   
The game was played at a frenetic pace with lots of turnovers. Gallatin took better care of the ball the last 6 minutes and made plays down the stretch.
