Cougars host mercurial Tigers for District 1 championship

Hopkinsville gutted out a four point win over Calloway County in Round 1 behind Jayden Dillard's 161 rushing yards and Dejaun Mercer's game sealing interception. Logan County's Anthony Woodard showcased his triple threat ability in a 50-30 win over Hopkins County Central, scoring touchdowns via the run, pass, and punt return.

Logan's Wyatt Blake ran for 250 yards as part of the Cougars' 387 total rushing yards in Week 6, when Logan handled Hopkinsville 31-7.  Reece Jesse was held in check that night, and was virtually invisible last week against Calloway. Hoptown can't afford another quiet night from one of the state's premier receivers.

I think Hopkinsville is more talented but that didn’t matter in the first game so I’m going with Logan Co 31-27.
