Congratulations to East Carter on a great season. Shoutout to East Carter Senior GK Kaitlyn Conley for an awesome game. She must have had 5+ big time saves to keep the game from getting out of hand.

Also Congratulations to Coach John Perry and The Lady Devils. Tough regular season ends with a trip to State. This Young team really grew up in the 16th Region Tournament. Russell Keeper Raegan Williams Played a great game as well. Fitting that the lone senior (Lena Blanke) on this Russell team scored the winning goal.

Big upset here IMO. East was undefeated if I remember correctly.

Yes they were 11-0-3 but Russell made some position changes during the tournament. Russell played East Carter tough the first time they played East Carter won 3-2. Russell played as tough schedule as anyone in the 16th. It paid off tonight.
