Ryle seemed to have an identity crisis last year at QB, with three players switching back and forth under center. This year they have senior Bradyn Lyons, junior Luke Worley, and sophomore Lukas Colemire all listed as QB's on their roster. Lyons produced the most last year at quarterback for the Raiders, but will they opt to start a sophomore or junior instead, in the interest of developing a player who they can bring back next year? Connor Lee will be heavily relied on at running back after the graduation of workhorse Kyle England.

Boone County was young last year, but showed some real promise early in the season under new head coach Bryson Warner. Warner is back for his sophomore year as head coach, and has 19 seniors on his roster. Junior Sam Brown looks to be the likely QB for the Rebels, with junior Skylar Sears, junior Cristian Byndon, and sophomore Jamarion Hocker also listed as quarterbacks. The offense also returns leading rusher Evan Curee as a senior. On the defensive side, linebackers David Bodenbender and Evan Curee led the team in tackles last year, and both return.
