Marginal Risk for storms for WKY (7/1/2020)

There is a marginal risk of severe storms for portions of western Kentucky this afternoon into the evening hours. Isolated damaging winds and marginally severe hail will be the primary threats in the stronger storms. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 1 Marginal Risk Area.

As of this morning the timing for the possible storms appears to be between 3-8 pm CDT.

A line of showers an storms is approaching portions of western Kentucky at this time. Rain could be heavy at times with localized pounding of water on roads. There is also a slight possibility of some small hail within the stronger storms. 

The following HRRR radar is from 3 to 8 pm CDT.
