Owsley falls for the first time this season to fellow 56th district member. A good game to watch, up and down the floor with alot of penetration. Not a defensive game by any means.

Estill was able to hold on in the final minutes of the game with the help of free throw shooting and some ill advised shots from Owsley County.

This is a big loss for Owsley with regards to seeding for the district tournament. The Lady Owls, I would suppose, would want to play Lee in the first round of the district tournament, but unless they can beat Estill in Irvine they will more than likely have to face Estill in the first round, or maybe even Powell.

This is a year that you do want the number 1 seed in the 56th. Any team can be dangerous though.

Can't say how impressed and proud I am of the lady neers this season. Win McKinnely took over as coach two years ago - I must confess - trying to rebuild a program that went 3-19 the year before seemed a stretch to say the least....but all be it - here we are three years later and we're off to a 4-0 start with a 2-0 record in the district.
