January 9, 20206 yr George Mason (11-4, 0-2 A-10) led early and often only to be outscored by 16 points in the 2nd half. A half that would see them score just 18 points. For the Bonnies (10-5, 2-0 A-10) the slow start never seemed to faze them and to me that was the difference in this one, or one of the bigger reason they won. Leading the way in the win was, Kyle Lofton (Hillside, NJ.) with 17 points, 5 assists and 5 boards. Dominick Welch (Buffalo, NY) contributed with 11 points and 5 boards. Also scoring 11 points was, Alejandro Vasquez (Queens, NY). For George Mason, A.J. Wilson (Laurel, MD) and Justin Kier (Grottoes, VA) led the way with 11 points.
January 9, 20206 yr The last time I watched the Bonnies play was in the 1970 East Region final with Bob Lanier, "The Biggest Feets in the NBA", as their center. St. Bonaventure won, but Lanier was injured. The Bonnies still gave Jacksonville and Artis Gillmore all they could handle in the National Semifinal. Lanier went on to the NBA Hall of Fame.
