Inopportune turnovers decide Russell's fate again.

Russell still has a hard time finishing close games sometimes when leading.

Tough loss for the Red Devils after leading most of the game. This is the second time in three games that Russell has lost after holding a substantial fourth quarter lead. The inability to finish games has plagued them in recent years and it reared its ugly head again tonight.

 

Gotta give credit where it's due, though. Hats off to Greenup for coming back to get the district win over a big rival on the road.

Dryden (27) and Nelson (22) accounted for 49 of Greenup's 58 points. They've been a formidable 1-2 punch for the Musketeers this season.

 

With the games we've seen so far between Greenup, Russell, Raceland, and Lewis County, this is shaping up to be another hyper competitive season in the 63rd district.
