Brossart led at all of the quarter stops, but led by a single point going into the fourth frame. Midway through the final quarter Carson Schirmer hit a pair of consecutive transition baskets and served up an encore 3-pointer to provide the Mustangs some separation. An ill-timed Flyers technical foul led to a ten point Mustangs lead, which would stand up as the Mustangs improve to 7-2 on the season, while posting our sixth consecutive victory.

The Mustangs were led tonight by Carson Schirmer with 23 points. Stephen Verst added 17 and Ethan Eilerman 16. Verst also added 10 rebounds to complete the double-double. Sophomore bigman David Govan (6'4") continues to improve on a nightly basis. He contributed 8 points and pulled down 7 boards against quality competition.

Zac Cox and Zyshonne Atkinson led the Flyers with 20 points each.

The Mustangs will take on Boone County our pre-season scrimmage partner, in the semi-finals of the Henry County Holiday Tournament at 8:30pm on Friday.
