Warren Central or Bowling Green may yet win the region this year, but this is the first time in 12 years that it has felt like just about anyone could win it.

To add to the significance of this, Greenwood just snapped a 16 game losing streak to Bowling Green. The Purples posted their lowest score in a decade. Not just against Greenwood, but anyone. This is just their second loss to a team in the region that wasn't Warren Central since 2013, and if you add Barren County to that, they hadn't lost to a region team other than those two since losing to Greenwood in 2012. There's all kinds of time left in this season, but frankly, this was a staggering loss. And for Greenwood, a huge mental lift against a team that has owned them psychologically. And a big boost after an absolutely TERRIBLE week last week.
