Brossart Athletic Director Kevin Bundy announced today via Press Release, the hiring of

Andy Smith as the new head coach of the Lady Stangs Soccer Program, succeeding Andy

Dotson. Smith has served as an assistant to Ryan Schaeffer, in the Boys Soccer Program for

past five years.

 

"Bishop Brossart High School administration is excited to announce Andy Smith as our new head girls soccer coach.

Coach Smith has been a varsity assistant and head junior varsity coach at Brossart since 2015.

He was a first team All-Region soccer player at Campbell County High School, where he

graduated in 1994.

“We are thrilled to have someone with the integrity of coach Smith lead our girls soccer

program,” said Kevin Bundy, Bishop Brossart athletic director. “His knowledge and passion

for soccer along with his strong ties to our community will be a great asset to our girls and our program.”

Coach Smith is self-employed. He and his wife, Angie, reside in Cold Spring with their five

children.

“I’m really excited to be a part of the girls soccer program at Bishop Brossart,” Smith said.

“I’m grateful the school has given me the opportunity to lead the girls at such a pivotal time in the program’s history.”

Great hire and good luck Mr. Smith.

This is a really good hire for Brossart. Andy knows the game and knows how to lead. Him being a father will help him in communicating with the young ladies on the team and help guide them to be better people on and off the field. After what some of the girls went through last season, I am happy that the administration made this change. Congrats Andy!
