Owensboro 43 Graves County 0

Dominating performance by the Red Devils. Running clock in the 2nd Quarter.

Not totally shocked here. When you play at Rash Stadium in the playoffs you can’t fall behind early and expect to hang around.

This team is lurking in 5A. Pulling for the Red Devils next week!

Stats:

Halftime score was 43-0.

Owensboro with 395 yards of offense and most of that coming in first half before subs.

Graves limited to 129 total yards and 7 first downs. QB was 95 yards and 3 interceptions.

Wimdatt had 284 yards passing and 3 TD’s with 1 rushing TD on a 70 yard run off fake punt. OHS’ first possession looked to be a punt return TD but a blocker tripped up his teammate wn route to end zone, followed by a unforced fumble.

OHS is healthy with RB Avery back and all-state LB Gough back. Avery was 11 for 77 yards and a TD.

If Imonte Owsley doesn't get hurt, I could see Owensboro competing for the State Championship. Without him, I'm just not sure they have enough offense. But I think their defense is as good as anyone.

@Purple88 I agree that if Owsley were there they may be the winning the State championship. Until the top 4 teams play each other it’s hard to say if any team other than the top 2 (FD and CC) will be in Lexington. CC and FD have a couple of huge wins and they are the favorites no doubt. Owensboro has to come focused on Fairdale first, but I think they have the ability to compete with FD.
